Impression X is a 75 minutes experimental feature film completed in 2022, made by 16 underground filmmakers all over the world who joined powers for this unique project, celebrating the long take and the fauvism in cinema. A collection of Super 8 mm films which are set in Portugal, Mexico, Hungary, Spain, U.S.A., Sri Lanka, Japan, Scotland, Poland, Holland and Suriname. The assignment was to film the whole cartridge in 1 long take of 3 minutes and 20 seconds, the duration of a super 8 mm film cartridge filmed at 18 frames per second.
8sploitation Grindhouse Cinema is a curation project, bringing together existing super 8 films that were hidden all over the internet. These are 90 minutes programmings, screened at film houses. This project is actually what 8sploitation Grindhouse Cinema is all about. Retro filmmaking, creating an ever-growing catalog of curated and newly produced Super 8 mm films from different filmmakers to present these together as screenings programmed in suitable film houses, in order to bring back the original film experience.
At this moment the venue for the first screening is Filmhuis Cavia in Amsterdam. The screening dates will soon be determined.
A contemplative feature film by Roy Rezaäli shot in a cinéma vérité style, presented in 2 chapters (books). Containing elements of documentary, neorealism, adventure, surrealism, meditation, drama, mystery, comedy, observation, transcendence and exploitation cinema. A unique project, in which Suriname and Holland has been captured in a very different way. Appreciate Tori by slowing down your pace and opening yourself up for a ‘trip’. Produced in a guerrilla style of filmmaking. A very personal film, made from the soul without the use of a script. Everything is filmed on the fly and shot on several super 8 mm film formats.
